As part of the UNESCO delegation, Her World India team participated in a high-level roundtable meeting with the Secretary, Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES).
Dr. M. Ravichandran, Secretary, MoES, shared detailed insights on India’s Antarctic expeditions, polar research stations, ice-core studies, and the growing importance of the Polar regions in shaping the planet’s future.
The discussions underscored India’s sustained commitment to advancing scientific understanding of the Polar regions and their global climate significance.
The delegation appreciated India’s significant scientific contributions and engaged in discussions on collaborative efforts to further promote Earth Sciences, leadership development, and enhanced participation of youth and women in STEM disciplines.
The interaction reaffirmed MoES’s commitment to strengthening global scientific cooperation while encouraging outreach and capacity-building initiatives aimed at inspiring the next generation.
