Nari Shakti to be showcased at 75th republic day parade

As the nation rises high towards progress and commendable achievements, celebration of 75th Republic Day Parade this year holds a remarkable significance. One of the most notable highlights is going to be a salute to Nari Shakti as the Parade will be led dominantly by women, specially the All Women Contingent representing the three divisions of our Armed Forces – Army, Navy and Air Force.

As India charts its roadmap to the development landscape, having taken giant strides towards growth in the global arena, showcasing some of the landmark achievements on the occasion of Republic Day becomes an exciting experience for all its citizens and the 75th Republic Day Parade will be presenting the same to one and all.

For the first time, the parade, which will start at 10.30 am and run for about 90 minutes, will be heralded by 100 women artists playing Indian musical instruments. The parade would commence with the music of Sankh, Naadswaram, Nagada, etc. to be played by women artists. (Source: The Hindu)


Something that would really be awe inspiring and instil a sense of pride among all Indians, would be a 144 personnel tri-Service women contingent marching in the parade. All cultural performances will be performed by women artists. The CAPF – Central Armed Police Forces would also represent all women contingent. The theme ‘Viksit Bharat’ will be strongly projected with Nari Shakti at the forefront, highlighting exemplary work by women achievers in the field of defence, crafts and culture, science and technology and others.

The French President – Emmanuel Macron will be the Chief Guest. All International eyes will be on this exceptional parade with a beaming aim to highlight women achievements.

A 95-member marching contingent and 33-member band contingent from France will also take part in the parade. Along with the aircraft of Indian Air Force, one Multi Role Tanker Transport (MRTT) aircraft and two Rafale aircraft of the French Air Force will participate in the Fly-past.

Around 13,000 special guests from across India have been invited to witness the parade. This parade provides to all an opportunity to take part in the National Festival which follows the Government’s vision – Jan Bhagidari.

Walking on the path of inclusion and aiming to promote gender equality, India has taken various steps to accelerate momentum towards empowering women and thereby strengthening 

the overall focus on development and growth in Amrit Kal and that would get reflected on the Republic Day itself.
